Product Description

Epoxy Coal Tar Finish Paint is a two pack protective coating which is produced by combining the reinforced composition coal-tar with epoxy in addition with a number of suitable additives. It is especially synthesized with best grade chemicals and due to its excellent resistance against water it is considered as an ideal solution for the protection of sluice gates of hydro electrical projects, barrier gates of irrigation projects and underwater structure of bridges sea shore where continuous water immersion occurs. The flash point of the Epoxy Coal Tar Finish Paint is approximately equals and less than 28 degree Celsius.

Technical Specifications

Surface Preparation & Substrate Condition

• Surface must be free from rust, loose scale, mill scale, best result can be attained by sand blasting to Sa 2, or power tool cleaning at St 3.
• Surface temperature must be at least 3C above dew point but not above 50C.

Mixing:

Stir the base and hardener separately to get an uniform mix, then add hardener slowly to the base slowly with constant stirring for quick homogenous mixing.

• Mixing ratio : Base : Hardener :: 4 :1(v/v)
• Induction time : 30 minutes
• Pot life at 30C : 8 hours
